Is A 3d Tv Worth The Price?
Choosing the best television is easy, but what about all the new stuff that they are coming out with? There are so many advances to technology each year, really every day that it is hard to keep up with. Whether it’s something with much higher definition or something with built in this or built in that, there’s no telling what they will come up with next.
The hottest craze of course is 3D television. If they could implant 3D into your brain so that everything you watched was viewed in three dimensions, they would likely do that. But the greater question remains, is 3D worth the money and is it actually that great? Well, if you like three dimensions on your TV, then rest assured, these TVs look great.
They work well and anything that is made to be seen in 3D looks great. What isn’t so great is the substantial price tag and the glasses that you must wear. They are quite pricey, just when the prices of the flat screen, HDTVs are coming down far enough so that the majority of people are able to afford them; the new 3D televisions are very expensive. It always works that way though, when the masses can afford the newest technology, the new stuff is released so that the higher ups on the social scale will have something a little better.
That is why you have to attempt and keep up with the Joneses. But for people that need to have the newest technology, these 3D televisions are right up your ally. They are fantastic if you like to watch anything in 3D. These dont just play movies in 3D, but actual TV shows and if you have a next generation video game console, they even play games in 3D. The real issue is that you do need to wear these big goggles that can become uncomfortable.
When you have to wear regular 3D glasses for a whole movie, you can imagine how uncomfortable it can be if you happen to be watching television for hours on end or a football game wearing them. They can wear on you and if you happen to be sensitive to wearing things like glasses or goggles, you can get a headache very quickly. Also, these glasses are not cheap. They are about $ 100 per pair and you typically only get two with the television. That’s another investment of at least two more pair for an average family.
